Welcome! February (or what I call Chocolate Month) is here!

Bye, bye January! Maybe a few pounds were lost; maybe not? Maybe a few closets were cleaned; maybe several more need to be cleaned? Regardless, we can get excited for longer days and the hope of spring.

In an effort to freshen the stale weeks of winter, I’ve been reading piles of books, and I even caught a few movies on DVD. Oh, and the basil plant I purchased from our grocery store’s produce section? I replanted it in a pretty pot. It looks happy sitting there on my kitchen windowsill.

Our house is stocked with snacks for the Super Bowl, and I will be spending plenty of time that afternoon watching Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl. If you like animals and haven’t seen it, give the Puppy Bowl a try. It will melt your heart, trust me! Besides the adorable puppies, the show features kittens at half time. Sometimes they have bunny cheerleaders, too.

As for the rest of the month, I’m nurturing story ideas–with a little help from that old rascal chocolate...  Happy February!!
